ABOUT US

Built on Groundworks. Backed by Experience.

Hard landscaping specialists across Glasgow and Central Scotland — focused on structure, drainage, and long-term performance.

We build outdoor spaces that are engineered to last — starting below the surface with proper groundworks, planning, and structural design.

Delivered by an experienced team that builds it properly — first time.

Legacy. Engineering. Excellence.

One Group. Two Proven Brands. One Standard.

Pear Landscaping Group brings together the design strength of Prestige Paving and the build expertise of Pearson Landscapes under one unified standard.

Pear Landscaping Group operates as the central company delivering all projects across Central Scotland.

Behind it are two established brands — Prestige and Pearson — each with its own reputation, history, and specialist strengths.

Both companies continue to operate independently, generating enquiries and serving their respective markets.

For our clients, this means:

→ High-end design thinking combined with practical build expertise

→ Consistent standards across every project

→ A structured approach from planning through to installation

→ One accountable team delivering the entire project

You’re not dealing with separate companies — you’re working with one coordinated system built to deliver better results.

Our story

The Three Pillars Behind Every Project

Design. Engineering. Execution — working together from day one.

Mark Pearce

Heritage Design & High-End Finish

Led by Mark Pearce, bringing over 25 years of experience in high-end landscaping and heritage projects across Scotland.

Mark ensures every project delivers on visual impact — with a deep understanding of materials, layout, and premium finishes.

Gareth Pearson

Groundworks & Structural Engineering

Led by Gareth Pearson, specialising in structural integrity, excavation, and build performance.

From sub-base installation to drainage and load-bearing structures, Gareth ensures every project is built to last — not just look good.

4D Design & Digital Planning

Our external 4D design studio brings advanced CAD planning and digital modelling into every project.

This allows us to map layouts, levels, drainage, and structure before construction begins — removing guesswork entirely.

Philosophy

We Engineer for Generations — Not Just Seasons

Every project is built on structure, planning, and long-term performance.

Our Build Process

Landscaping Built With Structure, Not Guesswork.

Premium outdoor spaces start below the surface. From excavation and drainage to sub-base design, walling, levels and final finish, our process is engineered to create landscapes that look sharp, perform properly and stand up to Scottish weather.

01

Site Review & Ground Assessment

We inspect access, levels, drainage, soil conditions and existing structures before recommending the right construction approach for your garden or driveway.

02

Design, Layout & Practical Planning

We shape the project around how the space will actually be used — from patios and paths to retaining walls, driveways, steps, seating areas and planting zones.

03

Excavation & Preparation

The existing ground is stripped, reduced and prepared correctly so the finished surface has the right depth, levels and foundation from day one.

04

Drainage & Sub-Base Installation

We install the correct drainage channels, falls and compacted sub-base layers to reduce movement, pooling, sinking and premature failure.

05

Precision Build & Finishing

Walling, paving, edging, turfing, fencing and surfacing are installed with clean lines, accurate levels and a finish designed to lift the whole property.

06

Final Check & Handover

Before completion, we inspect the detail, clean the site and walk you through the finished space so you know exactly what has been built and why.

Frequently asked questions

  • Why do you charge a design fee for the 4D consultation?"

Unlike a basic "free estimate," our 4D Digital Twin is a comprehensive architectural service. We partner with specialist designers to create a structural and aesthetic model of your property. This ensures that every level, drainage point, and material choice is perfect before construction begins, saving you costly changes during the build phase.

  • Can I see how different materials look on my house before I decide?

Yes. The power of our 4D Studio allows us to toggle between finishes—from a Pearson-inspired heritage monoblock to a modern Prestige resin—instantly. You can see exactly how the colors interact with your home’s stone and the local Glasgow light.

  • How do you handle the 'Glasgow Sink' in soft clay areas?

This is where the Pear Standard excels. Many areas in the West of Scotland sit on heavy clay or "made ground." Our 300mm excavation protocol removes the unstable layers and replaces them with high-density, mechanically compacted sub-bases, ensuring your driveway never ruts or dips.

  • What happens to my old driveway materials?

As part of our commitment to professional site management, we handle the full "muck away" process using registered waste carriers. We aim to recycle as much excavation material as possible, keeping the site clean and minimizing environmental impact.

  • Who will be my point of contact on-site?

While your project might be a Prestige luxury design or a Pearson heritage build, it is managed by the Pear Group team. You will project by Mark & Gareth or a dedicated site foreman who oversees the 300mm protocol, while Mark or Gareth remains your primary contact for design and structural sign-off.

  • Is a 7-year guarantee standard in the industry?

No. Most contractors offer a 1-year "workmanship" warranty. Because Pear Landscaping Group focuses on structural engineering, we provide a 7-year structural guarantee. This covers the integrity of the sub-base and the stability of the installation, giving you long-term peace of mind.

  • Are your installations suitable for heavy vehicles or commercial use?

Absolutely. By adjusting our Pear Standard sub-base depth and using high-performance materials like SMA (Stone Mastic Asphalt) or heavy-duty paving, we regularly install driveways designed for high-traffic environments and larger SUVs.
